Having a finalized design, the TSat chassis has been fully machined and assembled. Our unique chassis has been meticulously designed to optimize the strength, cost, internal volume, and mass.
The next step involves machining the extruded, deployable panels. The panels will be machined separately from the chassis, and will be anchored to the chassis through a unique hinge assembly. The machining process for the panels is currently in development. The hinge design, however, is simple, and a prototype will soon be created using a 3D printer. The deployable panel CAD model can be seen below, and the hinge is the yellow piece towards the top of the model.
