Education

T STAR provides a curriculum that is developed specifically for the educational entity and is designed to encourage students to participate in STEM pipelines. T STAR maintains that typically non-STEM fields of study are required in the space industry and through our unique curriculum, will provide students from all career fields that have a basic understanding of the space industry concepts and needs as well as an interest in being part of that industry.

T STAR Space Camp

Each summer, T STAR works with Lessons in Mission Control and SEAD Academy in hosting the T STAR Space Camp. The STEM-based camp spends a week walking groups of 10-14 year olds in the shoes of Flight Controllers, and allows the campers to learn the basics of a Flight Controller’s duties and responsibilities. During the camp, the students will also learn about space, the International Space Station (ISS), and how Flight Controllers fly and control the ISS. The campers will learn valuable, character-building skills during the camp such as critical thinking, communication, teamwork, and problem solving.

We would like to thank the campers and Carrie Kostak for another successful Space Camp this year, we sure had a blast!
